Gifts of Cash or Check
  • Mail to: 1147 Route 100B, Moretown, VT 05660 c/o Town Hall Capital Campaign
  • Drop off at the Town Hall. Be sure to include your name, mailing address, email address, phone number, along with your donation in a sealed envelope.

Checks may be made out to The Friends of the Moretown Community Library. Please include “capital campaign” in the memo.

Employer Matching Gifts

Many employers will match donations to charitable organizations. Ask your Human Resources to find out if your employer has a matching gift program. It’s an easy way to multiply the impact of your gift to the Moretown Town Hall campaign.

Gifts of Stock

Supporting the capital campaign with a gift of stock may provide more benefits than a cash gift. When you make a gift of stock, it may be possible to eliminate the capital gains tax that would be due upon selling the stock. You receive tangible tax-savings while also supporting the tangible revitalization of Town Hall. Talk to your broker about how to make this type of gift, and contact us for information on the receiving brokerage firm.

IRA Rollover

For donors 70½ years and older, tax-free charitable gifts directly from their Individual Retirement Accounts to eligible charitable organizations. Ask your IRA administrator about making a direct transfer by having the administrator send a check (or cash wire) from your account. To be tax-free, the donation must be made payable to Friends of the Moretown Memorial Library.

Donor Advised Fund

A donor advised fund (DAF) lets you decide how much and how often money is donated to Moretown Town Hall capital campaign. Contact your fund administrator for a beneficiary form, so you can recommend making a charitable gift now and outline a schedule for making recurring gifts in the future.

The Friends of the Moretown Community Library is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit, EIN 36-4601584, that is acting as the fiscal agent for the Moretown Town Hall Capital Campaign. All donations to the capital campaign are considered separate from the annual donations raised by the Friends for the ongoing support of Library programs and resources.
